City of Englewood, CO
The
City of Englewood is located in Central Colorado, South of the Denver
Metro Area. The City owns and maintains approximately 82 miles of
sanitary sewer pipes that serve approximately 26,000 residents.
Bai Engineers (BE) was sub-contracted by Hazen & Sawyer to perform
sanitary sewer flow monitoring and sewer master planning study for the
City of Englewood in 2019. BE installed five SmartCover level
monitoring units across the City to analyze the existing sanitary
sewer flow rate, identify potential infiltration and inflow (I&I),
and calibrate a sewer hydraulic model.
The average dry weather flow rate and diurnal patterns were determined
at each SmartCover meter. These data were used to calibrate a
City-wide sewer hydraulic model developed by BE.
